At Holly House, we believe every young person deserves to feel safe, cared for, and supported. Our home is a warm and welcoming space where children aged 10 to 17 can feel accepted, build trusting relationships, and start to heal and grow.
We are an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home, providing high-quality care to young people with a variety of needs. Our experienced team offer therapeutic based child-centred support, creating a stable and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
At Holly House, we work hard to create a genuine home-from-home atmosphere where young people feel safe, valued and included.
We provide a safe space where feelings can be shared, processed, and understood with the support of trained, compassionate staff.
We work closely with schools and education providers to ensure every child’s learning needs are fully supported.
We celebrate birthdays, cook meals together, enjoy activities, go on trips, and create positive memories. Young people have opportunities to take part in sports, arts, hobbies, and community activities.
As children grow and prepare for independence, we help develop skills such as cooking, budgeting, self-care, and decision-making, helping them build confidence for the future.
Our staff receive regular training in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, safeguarding, and therapeutic based interventions such as PACE.
We nurture a safe, non-judgmental environment to encourage age-appropriate development and positive future outcomes. Our aim is to support, guide and assist young people in making their own decisions about their lives, and to teach them how to replace negative, often self-destructive behaviour patterns with alternative methods of coping.
We encourage young people to recognise their own strengths, individuality and potential for development and independence. With this in mind, we work closely with local authorities and other agencies to ensure optimal outcomes and opportunities for children.
